Cookie policy

Version 1.0 · in force since August 21, 2026

This policy explains which cookies Amedi uses, what each one is for, how long it lasts and how you can change your decision. The list was reconstructed by reading the platform's code, not with a generator: what is here is what is actually stored in your browser.

1. What a cookie is and what we store in your browser

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser to recognise you from one page to the next or from one visit to the next. Some are essential — without them you could not stay signed in; others only serve to measure how the site is used and are activated only if you allow it.

Besides cookies, the platform keeps a few preferences in your browser's local storage (localStorage), which never travels to the server: the language you chose (amedi-client-language) and, in the practice dashboard, the professional a secretary had selected (amedi-secretary-doctor). You can clear them from your browser settings without affecting your account.

2. Necessary cookies

They are always set, because the platform does not work without them. They do not require consent.

3. Measurement cookies

They are only set after you accept them. If you do not accept them, these tools are not loaded and no data is sent.

ph_*PostHogMeasure which parts of the platform are used and where people get stuck, in order to improve it.12 months
_ga, _ga_*Google AnalyticsMeasure visits to the public pages (home, search, profiles).24 months

Measurement data is associated with a random identifier, not with your medical history. We never send health data to these tools.

4. Maps

Practice maps are provided by Google Maps. The map does not load automatically: it loads when you ask for it (for example, by pressing "view map" or by opening the map view of the search). At that moment, google.com may set its own cookies, which are governed by Google's privacy policy.

5. What we do not do

  • We do not record sessions or replay what you do on screen.
  • We do not show advertising or use advertising cookies.
  • We do not set third-party tracking pixels (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn or others).
  • We do not sell or share browsing data with advertisers.

6. How to change your decision

You can change your decision about measurement cookies at any time from the Cookie preferences link in the platform's footer. When you change it, the measurement tools are enabled or disabled immediately, with no need to touch your browser settings.

If you also clear cookies from your browser, you will be signed out and we will ask you again about measurement cookies on your next visit.
